Pirelli: Party, party at the tire pioneer 🎥
150-YEAR ANNIVERSARY The Italian tire manufacturer Pirelli is celebrating its milestone birthday with festivities around the world. Even stamps and commemorative coins are to accompany the company's anniversary.
The celebrations will continue throughout the year thanks to Pirelli's sponsorship.
The celebrations for the 150th anniversary of tire manufacturer Pirelli began at the Piccolo Teatro in Milan. There, a stage performance presented the story of industry, culture, tradition, technology and passion that began on January 28, 1872.
The most important moments were represented by leading figures of the company - among them Ferruccio De Bortoli, Formula 1 boss Stefano Domenicali, Renzo Piano and Marco Tronchetti Provera, Executive Vice Chairman and CEO of the Group, and Alberto Pirelli, who represents the link between the family and the company.
Messages from Italy to the whole world
The event narrated Pirelli's journey through three centuries: the factories, the relationship with culture and artists, the creativity in communication, the presence in sports and motorsports, the constant search for innovation and cutting-edge technology.

Special logo for international countdown
The logo created for the anniversary was unveiled last November at the presentation of the 2022 Pirelli calendar by Bryan Adams. At the Rally Monte-Carlo, it adorned the car that completed the opening lap.
The event at the Piccolo was preceded by an international countdown that began on January 24 in Rio de Janeiro. It continued with the projection of the logo and congratulations on the 180 meters of the Citi Tower in Shanghai, with a 3-D animation on the Times Square Nasdaq Tower in New York and on Palazzo Venezia in Milan.
