Peugeot: 9X8 hypercar from 1775 Lego bricks
FOR REAL FANS Following the unveiling of the Peugeot 9X8 hypercar last year, Team Peugeot Total Energies has taken on a new engineering challenge - the exact replica of the racer in Lego Technic.
The Lego Group and Peugeot Sport design teams have created a precise 1/10th scale replica of the Peugeot 9X8 hypercar. From the striking silhouette to the lightning bolts on the paint, the model brings the fascination of the race car to life. The electric drive and 7-speed transmission have been faithfully reproduced in the new model. Details such as the V6 engine and the glow-in-the-dark lighting elements convey the thrill of racing.
Olivier Jansonnie, Technical Director of Peugeot Sport: "Our technical collaboration began as early as January 2022, five months before the unveiling of the Peugeot 9X8. It was important for both brands to create as realistic a model as possible."
On sale from May for 200 francs
The new model in the Lego Technic series consists of 1775 parts and is more than 13 centimeters high, 22 centimeters wide and 50 centimeters long when fully assembled. The Lego version of the race car was unveiled at the FIA World Endurance Championship round in Portugal, even before the real car took to the track. The new Lego hypercar set will be available in Lego stores or online from May 1, 2023, at a price of around 200 Swiss francs.
