Krokus has been a household name to hard rock fans around the world for over 40 years - and is more alive than ever. Soon the new CD "Big Rocks" with cover versions of famous rock classics will be released, before Krokus will later rock stages worldwide together with other bands at the "Rock Monsters of Switzerland" as well as at numerous other concerts. In 1975, the formation Krokus, originating from Solothurn, began their career and for more than four decades, the musicians conquered a huge fan base with straightforward hard rock - all the way to the USA, where, among other things, they became honorary citizens of Memphis (Tennessee) in 1983. Numerous platinum awards and over 15 million records sold make Krokus the most successful hard rock band in Switzerland.
In 2008, frontman Marc Storace brought the original formation including band founder Chris von Rohr together again - and thus into the charts. Both the album "Hoodoo" and "Dirty Dynamite" placed the Swiss hard rockers at the top of the Swiss album charts for more than 20 weeks each and reached platinum status.
At the beginning of 2017, Krokus will release their new work "Big Rocks". The album will be a tribute to many decades of rock history, as Krokus covers several classics in 13 tracks that have musically shaped the Solothurn group, including "My Generation" or "Wild Thing".
Krokus frontman Marc Storace will travel to his gigs in a very special vehicle: a Nissan Navara with special "Rock Monster" branding. The Nissan pickup is a perfect match for the new brand ambassador, as both have a long history and are currently highly successful. The latest generation of the Nissan Navara has become the best-selling pickup in Switzerland. In his private life, Marc Storace can also rely on a robust Nissan 4×4. Here, the hard rocker steers a Nissan X-TRAIL 2.0 dCi 4×4 automatic over Swiss roads - the new variant of the popular crossover with a 177-hp 2.0 dCi turbodiesel.
