For the 18th edition of the Miss Yokohama pageant, Yokohama (Suisse) SA invited to the Konzepthalle 6 in Thun. The candidates were introduced to the jury by presenter Linda Gwerder, consisting of Jürg Naef (Head of Marketing & PR Suzuki Automobile Schweiz AG), Thomas Herren (Social Media Manager Galledia Fachmedien AG), Joey Staerkle (Miss Intercontinental Wales 2019/18 and Miss Supranational Wales 2016/17), Reto Wandfluh (CEO Yokohama Switzerland) and last year's winner Milena Crusi.
Appearance, charm and sympathy
Already the first appearance of the candidates with jeans and tank top was visually a pleasure. But in the evaluation, besides the appearance, which was put in the best light thanks to the make-up artists from thelookcenter School of Make-up and hairstylists from Black&White, above all the charm and the sympathy played a big role.
Casual jumpsuit look and evening dress
These characteristics and the answers given by the candidates during the first run in the interview with Linda Gwerder were included in the evaluation. In the second run, the candidates performed a rehearsed choreography in a jumpsuit look by Yokohama and presented themselves shortly afterwards in a glamorous evening gown.
Three happy candidates
At 10:30 p.m. the time had come, the candidates gathered on stage and eagerly awaited the announcement of this year's winner. The third place was won by Tatiana (25) from Grenchen. Narges (22) from Lengnau is happy about the title of Vice Miss Yokohama. The crown was finally placed on Kylie (20) from Horgen. The 20-year-old impressed the jury and the audience with her naturalness and charisma.
Trendy watches and goodie bags
Ex-Miss Milena presented the winner, who was moved to tears, with the crown and sash. Kylie enthusiastically sat down in her Suzuki Swift Sport, wrapped by Schneiderschriften.ch. In addition, the three first-place winners received a Cover Crazy Seconds watch and all finalists received a goodie bag with beauty products from JJ Beverly Hills.
Guest starter at the Suzuki Swiss Racing Cup
Numerous events and trade fairs await Kylie. Next Saturday, she will be a guest driver in her new Suzuki Swift Sport at the final round of the 2019 Suzuki Swiss Racing Cup in Ambri.
