Maserati: Special exhibition at the Perry Center

Italy is often associated with racy, beautiful and fast cars: Ferrari, Lamborghini or Maserati, one of the oldest car manufacturers in Italy. The Perry Center in Oftringen/Aarburg AG is dedicating a special exhibition to the brand with the trident until Saturday, August 27. The shopping center in the Mittelland wants to show visitors the Italianità in car [...]

Citroën Maserati SM: The spacious coupe was equipped with a 6-cylinder V engine from Maserati, as Maserati was 60 percent owned by Citroën at the time. There were displacement variants of 2.7 liters with 154, 170 or 178 hp or 3.0 liters with 180 hp.

The shopping center in the midlands wants to bring visitors closer to the Italianità in car manufacturing through the "trident". Six models will be exhibited. The exhibition will not be a parade of new cars, but on the contrary, a little walk through the more than 100 years of history of the brand.

On display are the Levante SUV, as well as the Quattroporte and also the 1966 Maserati Mistral, which they built from 1963 to 1970. The Mistral itself was superseded by the Indy in the early 1970s: the four-seater sports car was the last Maserati to be developed and introduced before Citroën took over the plant. It's rare to see the Citroën Maserati SM ("Sa Majeste") with the hydraulic suspension and rotating headlights today - one is at the Perry Center.

The exhibition at the Perry Center, Oftringen/Aarburg AG, Bernstrasse 1, is open daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays.
