Maserati: Achim Saurer new Managing Director
Effective immediately, Achim Saurer is the new Maserati Managing Director for the regions Germany, Austria and Switzerland. In his role, Saurer, who operates from Wiesbaden, Germany, reports to Giulio Pastore, General Manager Maserati Europe. The latter had been directly in charge of the markets during an interim phase. Achim Saurer, 53, previously worked in various management positions at Audi for more than seven years. Most recently, he was CEO of Audi in Russia. Before that, Achim Saurer was Audi's overall sales manager for south-west Germany and even then worked from the Rhine-Main region, where Maserati Central Europe is also based. Achim Saurer, who was also CEO of a tire manufacturer for many years, has excellent expertise and contacts in the international automotive market.
