The passenger side of the Lexus UX by René Turrek is characterized by striking lines in different colors and thicknesses. The designer and urban artist, who was born in Osnabrück in 1977, has chosen neon colors, among others, that create a special effect not only in daylight but also under UV light. One line becomes charged by daylight and glows green in the dark.
Reflection by sunlight
The driver's side contrasts sharply with the lively passenger side with a gray tone crisscrossed by jagged lines. Here, the visual effect works with a reflection from the sunlight or a simple cell phone photo with flash: the supposedly calm gray tone then turns into a bright silver-white.
Luxury car refinement
René Turrek has made a name for himself in the international art world in particular with the refinement of luxury cars. He worked on the Lexus UX for over 140 hours, using more than 100 spray cans and 1.6 kilometers of adhesive tape.
