Lexus: car design in the fashion world 🎥

TIME EXHIBITION Lexus has opened the Time exhibition as part of Milan Design Week 2024. Two installations by international artists can be seen there - in the Art Point and Art Garden of Superstudio Più - until April 21.

Milan Design Week is the world's largest international design event. The Time exhibition shows how software and energy innovations can influence the future development of cars and how these vehicles can reduce luxury and CO2-neutrality with each other. The artworks are inspired by the LF-ZC concept car, which illustrates the possibilities of a next-generation electric vehicle.

Beyond the Horizon

This installation includes a series of two-meter-high sculptures. Although the sculptures appear uniform, they create different moods through unique lighting effects. As a symbol of innovation and the mobility of the future, the Lexus LF-ZC is at the center of the work. Designer Hideki Yoshimoto combines modern technology with traditional Japanese craftsmanship in an imposing projection surface measuring 4 by 30 meters, which shows changing views of the horizon.

8 Minutes and 20 Seconds

This work is an expression of Lexus' commitment to driving innovation in mobility by celebrating the potential of energy and software together with the goal of coexisting carbon neutrality and luxury. The installation features a full-scale representation of the LF-ZC concept, utilizing solar energy captured by organic photovoltaic cells and stored in built-in batteries. Named after the time it takes for light to travel from the sun to the earth, "8 minutes and 20 seconds" imagines the car between holographic trees and a seating area.
