FUN FOR BIG AND SMALL To mark Land Rover's 75th anniversary, Lego's classic Land Rover Defender 90 is rolling into stores. The kit for the toy off-roader is on sale now.
For almost exactly 75 years, Land Rover in general and Defender in particular have stood for off-road adventures. Lego and Land Rover are now celebrating the anniversary with the Classic Defender 90, a kit composed of 2573 parts. The new set can be built both as a model for everyday road use and as an off-roader.
Replica with detailed parts
Assembled, the Lego Defender is 32 centimeters long. It has equipment details such as roof racks, raised air intakes, front bumper with winch, side rails, toolbox and sand plates. In addition, the kit is equipped with functional steering and suspension, movable doors and hood, as well as an interior that is similar to the original in every detail.
On the road in Scottish Highlands
In preparation for the kit's debut, Lego sent a Classic Defender to the Scottish Highlands, home to the world's most elusive Lego store. This is the scenario for a tour with the two adventurers Raha Moharrak and Aldo Kane. They are to be the first to find and assemble the new set. The movie is available at lego.com/Defender.
