Last year, Lego had already released the Sián FKP 37 together with Lamborghini as a 1:8 scale model made of around 4,000 individual parts.
Now the companies are going one better by recreating the full-size supercar out of more than 400,000 Lego bricks.
The resulting all-plastic car weighs 2.2 tons and was made from 154 different types of Lego elements.
Long development time and 8660 hours of work
The 15-member team from the two companies invested 8660 hours in the development work and meticulous construction of the model. That's 360 24-hour days.
The detailed interior design with the steering wheel including Lamborghini logo and Italian flag, controls and racing seats is made of the world-famous terminal blocks.
The model was built as part of an elaborate product presentation in a virtual Lego workshop to give fans of Lamborghini and Lego the opportunity to follow the creation of the true-to-the-original version live.
