The first Pilot's Watch Chronograph in titanium is powered by IWC's manufacture caliber 69385 and features a carbon dial. The watch was presented during a webcast with IWC CEO Christoph Grainger, Mercedes-AMG CEO Philipp Schiemer, and racing driver and brand ambassador Maro Engel.
Materials from automotive engineering
The Edition AMG is made of materials from automotive engineering. The first Pilot's Watch Chronograph with a case diameter of 43 millimeters and the IWC manufacture caliber 69385 is also the first pilot's chronograph with a case made of extremely light and scratch-resistant titanium.
The black carbon dial contrasts with the silver subdials, reminiscent of instruments used in motorsports.
Stop time measurements up to twelve hours
The chronograph movement allows stop time measurements of up to twelve hours. This function is controlled by a column wheel, a complex component with two functional levels.
The Mercedes-AMG logo is emblazoned on the tinted sapphire crystal display caseback. The timepiece is worn on a black, embossed calfskin strap with contrast stitching and folding clasp.
