The teaser really whets your appetite to watch the action at Goodwood SpeedWeek in a live stream. Fans on site are not allowed to watch.
Highlights of the event include the first action shots of the Mustang Mach-E electric supercar and the Ford Puma ST.
With a peak output of over 1400 hp, the Mustang Mach-E 1400 is a particularly spectacular version of an electric car. At the Goodwood Motor Circuit, Vaughn Gittin Jr - founder of RTR Vehicles, motorsport champion and professional drift king - will present the Mustang Mach-E 1400 for the first time in Europe.
Puma ST makes its racetrack debut
Then the Puma ST will celebrate its eagerly awaited debut on a race track at the traditional circuit.
Ford's first European performance crossover SUV is particularly well-suited to the task with technologies such as the mechanical limited-slip differential, which is available for the first time in this segment, the patented Force Vectoring springs and driving modes from Eco to Track.
Pure electric Fiesta ERX for rallycross
An example of the use of all-electric powertrains in motorsport is provided by the Stard Ford Fiesta ERX, which is taking part in the drift competition on its Goodwood debut.
The Fiesta ERX is an all-electric rallycross vehicle. It was developed by rally and racing specialists on the basis of the Fiesta ST and complies with the Technical Regulations of the FIA World Rallycross Championship.
Three electric power units together produce more than 600 hp and over 1000 Nm of torque. Via two-speed transmissions on both axles, they drive all four wheels and accelerate the Fiesta ERX from 0 to 100 km/h in 1.8 seconds. Top speed is reached at 240 km/h.
Race teams can purchase the Fiesta ERX in the configuration for the World Rallycross Championship.
GT with 655 hp and 750 Nm of torque
A crowd favorite returns to Goodwood in the form of the Ford GT supercar.
In the Michelin Supercar Run, it is piloted by Richard Westbrook, who has participated in the 24 Hours of Le Mans with the race version several times in the Ford factory team.
The road-legal version of the Ford GT features a lightweight chassis made of carbon fiber and aluminum as well as active aerodynamics. The EcoBoost V6 with twin turbochargers mobilizes 655 hp and a maximum torque of 750 Nm - enough for top speeds of up to 347 km/h.
All models are presented live
Held for the first time and probably only this year, Goodwood SpeedWeek combines the Goodwood Festival of Speed and the Goodwood Revival races. All the action will be live-streamed. Simply click on this link zap and you're there online.
Ford is planning a product announcement at Goodwood SpeedWeek on Friday (Oct. 16, 2020) that should excite fans of the brand's performance vehicles.
