Andrea and Mike Kammermann and dog Aimée are on tour around the world again.

First, the journey heads east to Bulgaria, then across the Arabian Peninsula via Sudan to South Africa. To roll around the world once and to all four "capes" - that's the plan this time.

Mercedes converted four wheel drive truck
After the Cape of Good Hope, the route goes by ship to Cape Horn and north via Tierra del Fuego to Alaska (not a cape, but the northernmost point) and finally to the North Cape in Norway. The journey in their converted Mercedes 4×4 truck will take the globetrotters through around 60 countries and last about three years.

Goodyear Offroad ORD tires in size 14.00 R 20 are designed for tough applications.

Special tires for difficult terrain
On their adventurous journey, the Kammermanns once again rely on Goodyear's Offroad ORD series off-road tires.

Andrea Kammermann: "These tires proved themselves on our last tour. We drove over sharp rocks, over hot desert ground and over gravel roads with sharp-edged stones - without any flat tires at all."

Tough test for people and material
Once again, Globetrotters expect their 14.00 R 20 off-road ORD tires to be put to the test.

Mike Kammermann: "Especially in Sudan, Ethiopia or Kenya, we expect difficult terrain that will challenge not only driving skills but also the tires."

In Saudi Arabia, a large part of the route will be over sandy tracks. The wear on the tires is enormous. Here, too, the two globetrotters rely on Goodyear tires.

Winter conditions at the North Cape
While they have planned a large part of the route on paved roads in Central America, they would like to drive over the legendary Transamazonica in Peru and Brazil.

And they are also prepared for winter road conditions, for example at the North Cape. There, the offroad ORD can also prove its winter suitability.

Dakar Rally teams drive offroad ORD
For many years, participants in the legendary Dakar Rally have also relied on Goodyear's Offroad ORD tires. Recently, two Kamaz Master teams finished first and second on Offroad ORD tires in the rally, which was held for the first time in Saudi Arabia in January 2020.
