Major awards for all models
With the award for the Volvo XC40, all current Volvo SUV models have now been named "Car of the Year" (COTY) in either Europe or North America. Both the large XC90 and the XC60 have won "North American Truck/Utility of the Year" in the past two years. For the Volvo XC40, it is the next major award following the "Car of the Year Award" by the British automotive magazine "What Car?
Already over 20,000 pre-orders worldwide
The little "Kraxel-Swede" only celebrated its market launch last week - so the timing for the award is perfect for Volvo. But even without the award, the XC40 had a good start. More than 20,000 orders had already been placed worldwide by last week.
