This year, Ford conquered victory in the highly competitive GTE Pro category at the Le Mans comeback with the racing version of the current Ford GT. The new Lego Speed Champions set includes both cars as well as matching racing driver figures and miniatures of the chequered flag and the winner's trophy. This allows the champions of tomorrow to experience the fascination of the 24-hour classic at first hand and recreate Ford's historic Le Mans victories.
The car manufacturer's designers worked closely with Lego's specialists to develop the two kits of the Ford GT40 and Ford GT. Craig Callum, Head of Design at Lego-Speed Champions: "The development of these kits was an absolute dream project for us. The new Ford GT is one of the most fascinating racing cars these days." There are good reasons for his enthusiasm, because as an amateur motor sportsman Crais Callum takes part in races with a Ford Model A converted into a hot rod. In this YouTube video, Craig Callum proves that he can also assemble the new kit himself in record time: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PbEVCyOGbW0
