The trailer, shot by Porsche, drew attention to the YouTube series "Road to Le Mans" dedicated to Michael Fassbender in September 2019.
Michael Fassbender became known primarily for his role in Quentin Tarantino's film "Inglorious Basterds" and then in "Alien: Covenant".
Fulfillment of a dream
Fassbender will compete in a 2017 Porsche 911 RSR for the Proton Competition customer team in the 2020 European Le Mans Series, which starts on July 19. He shares the cockpit with Porsche works driver Richard Lietz from Austria and German Felipe Fernández Laser.
As part of Porsche's support, Fassbender's season in the endurance series is the next step on his personal "Road to Le Mans."
Michael Fassbender: "Even before acting, I had the big dream of racing. That was already clear to me at a young age. My father was an enthusiastic driver and taught me a lot."

Comprehensive training at Porsche
The actor took his first steps on the road to a racing career at the Porsche Driving Experience. The entry-level program for motorsport enthusiasts includes training programs with a 485-hp Porsche 911 GT3 Cup.
This was followed by a move up to the Porsche Racing Experience for the Heidelberg native. Fassbender received full-service support, which was perfectly adapted to his needs with three levels that built on each other and races as part of the Porsche Sports Cup.
First racing season completed
On his way to the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the 42-year-old completed Level 2 of Porsche's training program last year. For this, Fassbender took part in a full season of the Porsche Sports Cup Deutschland in a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup. Fans were able to follow his experiences in the first season of the YouTube series "Road to Le Mans.
With the move to the European Le Mans Series, Fassbender reaches the next stage of his motorsport career.
Proton Competition team owner Christian Ried: "It's always nice to be able to compete in new projects. This is a very special one. It will be exciting to see how Michael develops on his way to Le Mans. We're delighted to be able to accompany him as a team on his way to Le Mans."
Porsche is also accompanying this step towards Le Mans and will be releasing the second season of the documentary "Road to Le Mans" at the end of 2020.
