Due to the coronavirus crisis, restaurants remain closed for the time being. Three Zurich women have launched Social Kitchen and want to both support the restaurant scene and offer a change for many people at home.
Shopping list arrives by e-mail
As a highlight, Gault Millau chef Bertrand Charles will host the cooking lesson on April 16. Bertrand Charles is Chef de Cuisine at the RitzCoffier of the Palace Hotel & Conferences at the Bürgenstock Resort. Participants can log in to the video platform by e-mail at socialkitchen.ch for a fee of 33 francs.
You receive the shopping list for the ingredients the day before so that you can prepare for the cooking lesson. Bertrand Charles donates the money raised to the animal welfare association Société Protectrice des Animaux.
Chef at starred kitchens
Bertrand Charles recognized his passion for cooking and his curiosity to create new dishes from familiar ingredients at an early age. The Michelin-starred chef previously worked as head chef for Michelin-starred chefs such as Jean-Pierre Vigato from Apicius and Jean-François Piège from the Hôtel de Crillon and managed luxury hotel kitchens in Morocco, Mauritius and the Philippines.
