Entrepreneur Markus Bösiger explains in an interview with AutoSprintCH why the visit to the milestone is worthwhile.

The hotel with 85 homelike double rooms is ideal for business or private stays in the heart of Switzerland. Amenities, such as various restaurants, leave no culinary wishes unfulfilled.

All accommodations are equipped with air conditioning, flat-screen TV, electric kettle, shower, hairdryer and a desk. The offer also includes a wellness center and a fitness center.

Inviting underwater world
A special attraction is the aquarium on the 1st floor with a size of 863 square meters and a total length of 42 meters.

The four tanks reaching to the ceiling of the room with several thousand liters of water are inhabited by fish species such as sturgeons, catfish, rays and many others. Every larger zoo can be jealous of this. In this room, to which a bar is attached, social events for up to 700 people can take place - as soon as this will be allowed again.

Rolls-Royce with chauffeur
Even if you are looking for a new vehicle or are interested in a luxury rental vehicle, the selection is huge.

For weddings and other special events, there is even a customized Rolls-Royce available. With chauffeur on request.

Exhibition for young and old
The offer is complemented by the exclusive Member Club on the 2nd floor, which presents selected collectibles in a special environment.

The host, who has made a name for himself as a successful sidecar and truck racing driver, reveals something special about this.

Markus Bösiger: "For our somewhat younger guests, we have put together a model collection in which all brands are represented with a model."

Strolling through the Formula 1 exhibition (which also features Jo Vonlanthen's turquoise GRD F2), the eyes of any visitor will light up. Some cars have made history.

Time travel through 70 years of Formula 1
These alone are not the reasons why the car world meets here. On the 1st floor directly below the Member Club, Jo Vonlanthen presents the world of Formula 1. The vehicle museum is located on the second floor. Various racing cars, including world championship vehicles, can be seen there on 1845 square meters.

Jo Vonlanthen, who began his career as a 27-year-old with tips from Jo Siffert and started two Formula 1 races in 1975 in a Williams, presents the fascinating history of the premier class up close. More than 30 racing cars from every decade are on display in his exhibition, which has been personally put together with great attention to detail.

In an interview with AutoSprintCH, Jo Vonlanthen reveals what visitors can expect at his Formula 1 exhibition.

Jo Vonlanthen knows everything
And if you're lucky, you'll meet the always friendly Jo in Langenthal. Tip: He knows the history of every car, who was behind the wheel at a particular race, and whether the driver made it to the podium.

You can get a faint inkling of how a race car driver feels during a race by taking a short ride in one of the exhibition's simulators.

Jo Vonlanthen shows the book "Mythos Ferrari". Behind him some exhibits from the huge model car collection.

Myth in book form
Another treasure in the "Meilenstein" in Langenthal is the book "Mythos Ferrari".

Jo Vonlanthen: "Marc Newson is the author who has followed the history of the brand for many years. Only 300 copies of this exclusive Art Edition work were made worldwide. And one of them, enclosed in an engine block, is with us. We are proud of that."

Good and quickly accessible
By the way: "Der Meilenstein" and the Vehicle and Formula 1 Museum at Lotzwilstrasse 66 in Langenthal are only 44 kilometers from Bern, 64 kilometers from Basel and 76 kilometers from Zurich. So really not an unreasonable distance for a visit.
