Citroën: Sitting like at home on the sofa 🎥
COMFORT IS EVERYTHING There are five decades between the Citroën GS and the new ë-C4. As early as 1971, the GS stood for the floating compact class. The ë-C4 can easily keep up with it. A declaration of love to two cars of their time.
It's been just over a year since Carla Welti (@carlabelle.ch) and Megan Kohler (@meg.kohler), car content professionals from German-speaking and French-speaking Switzerland. What began charmingly chaotically with a trip through the Röstigraben quickly developed into a professional and personal friendship.
Creative and non-conformist ideas
In their new video, Carla and Megan compare the automotive generations while driving around Lake Murten. In the process, they have come to appreciate and love the electrically powered Citroën ë-C4 and its predecessor, the GS.
Megane Kohler: "Citroën has always stood for creative and non-conformist ideas. Solutions that were ahead of their time and therefore pioneering - such as the streamlined body or the hydropneumatic system. Because of its technical exclusivity, space and driving comfort, the Citroën GS s was voted European Car of the Year 1971."
Floating compact class as an electric vehicle
The affectionate term "floating compact class" often used at the time also applies to the current Citroën ë-C4, although unlike its ancestor, it is electric.
Carla Welti: "Its design exudes charm and elegance. Its lines always put a smile on the face of the beholder. This becomes even broader because you feel like you're sitting on a sofa."
