The market launch of the BMW M5 CS will begin in spring 2021, and the price in Switzerland will be 212,900 Swiss francs.

M GmbH has squeezed an impressive 70 kilograms out of the M5 CS and pulled out numerous stops to do so. For example, the front hood is made of carbon fiber composite, the same goes for the shells of the front seats, and the center console loses its storage space.

M5 CS
Forged 20-inch wheels are just as much a part of the BMW M5 CS's equipment as a carbon-ceramic brake system.

Chassis optimization and less weight
M GmbH has taken its cue from the M8 Gran Coupé in terms of suspension tuning, refining the electronic damper control and lowering the vehicle slightly; Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires measuring 275/35 R 20 at the front and 285/35 R 20 at the rear are standard.

The drivetrain is more tightly connected to the chassis. The chassis improvements and weight savings are so significant that they can probably be easily noticed by an experienced driver.

Sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.0 seconds
The 4.4-liter V-8 in the M5 CS produces ten hp more than the M5 Competition. The sprint from 0 to 100 km/h takes just three seconds, three tenths less than in the Competition.

The 200 km/h mark is crossed after 10.4 seconds, which is 0.4 seconds less. And the speed limit is only reached at 305 km/h.

Model designations in noble gold bronze
The M5 CS is not only the best M5 to date in terms of driving dynamics, it also looks exceptionally attractive. The kidneys and model designations are finished in gold bronze, while the deep yellow light rim in the headlights is reminiscent of the lighting elements in Le Mans racing cars.

The colors Brands Hatch gray and Deep Green are CS-exclusive. At the rear, the four stainless steel tailpipes attract attention, sounding considerably more dominant and aggressive than on the other variants.

Alcantara steering wheel with 12 o'clock marking
The interior features elegantly integrated CS emblems on the dashboard and between the rear seats, plus an Alcantara steering wheel with 12 o'clock markings and carbon shift paddles. The headrests are adorned with the contour of the Nürburgring Nordschleife. What more could you want.
