BMW: Chef of the Year 2017 drives an X1
The "Chef of the Year 2017" in Switzerland spoils his guests on Lake Zurich. Rico Zandonella receives the coveted title, which is awarded as part of a partnership concluded three years ago between BMW Group Switzerland and the GaultMillau restaurant guide. The Ticino-born chef is thus recognized for his culinary artistry, which has been awarded 18 GaultMillau points and two Michelin stars [...].
Born in Ticino, he is being honored for the culinary artistry of his restaurant "Rico's" in Küsnacht, which has been awarded 18 GaultMillau points and two Michelin stars. Kurt Egloff, President and CEO of BMW Group Switzerland: "With this award, we are recognizing skills and qualities that are of great importance to both partners. When creativity, attention to detail and an awareness of the highest quality come together, special experiences are created that never cease to fascinate." Rico Zandonella began his professional career 40 years ago with an apprenticeship with the top Swiss chef Horst Petermann from Hamburg. In future, Rico Zandonella will be able to enjoy the high art of driving pleasure at the wheel of a BMW X1.
