This year it was already the 13th edition of the Beetle Sunshine Tour. Car after car rolled onto the festival lawn, at the end there were exactly 721. Gabriele Kraft, inventor and organizer: "This is a new record. This year, even actor Devid Striesow, Til Schweiger's daughter Luna, actress Karoline Schuch and PS professional Sidney Hoffmann are taking part."
In addition to the smell of gasoline, there was a special highlight at the event under the motto "Beetle Sunshinetour Welcomes America". In addition to the VIPs, a wedding couple was also in the spotlight at Europe's largest Beetle meeting: Beetle fans Nadja and Markus said "I do" in the midst of the Beetle family! Wow, that doesn't happen every day.
Sheila Baumer and Isabelle Haas from Switzerland also made the journey of almost 1000 kilometers. For the businesswomen from Zurich and Schaffhausen, it was their fourth participation in the meeting. Sheila Baumer: "We feel at home. There is a lot of fun and our wagon, which was converted into a food station, was enjoyed by everyone. Of course, that makes us especially happy. And the fact that two white wall strips for the front tires have disappeared is something we can easily get over. Next year everything will be perfect again. That's a promise." We believe everything a true fan says.
