Car hall
Classic car collector Thomas Meister is behind the new project in Andelfingen, which will be completed in the fall.

The Swiss love cars, especially classic models. Around 156,000 vehicles that are 30 years old or older are registered in our country. Now, a new meeting place for fans of classic cars and youngtimers is taking shape in Andelfingen, Canton Zurich.

The car hall is being built directly on the Stuttgart-Zurich axis. It will be opened in the fall and will then offer a variety of services for historic vehicles, as well as gastronomy and events on the topic of classic cars.

Car hall to provide a home for the cars
Behind the major project is a classic car collector with roots in the region.

Thomas Meister: "I'm not the typical collector of classic cars, but much more the typical driver. I then dive into a motoring world. Where you can still feel something of the vehicle, smell it and listen to the engine. The car hall should provide a home for the cars themselves, but at the same time for the proud owners."

The Andelfingen car showroom will house his favorites, a 1977 Peugeot 504 TI, a 1968 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow Drophead and a 1967 Jaguar E-Type.

More than 70 parking spaces with constant room temperature and power connection are created in the car hall. Thanks to personal badge, access to the vehicle is possible at any time.

Workshop and brand specialists
In cooperation with the affiliated workshop and the network of classic car brand specialists, the auto hall intends to offer various service modules for vehicles.

Thomas Meister: "A workshop is being built with five lifts and a pit so that it is also possible to work on pre-war vehicles without any problems. You can watch the hustle and bustle in the workshop from both the event area and the restaurant. The vehicles of the long-term tenants drive through the middle of the space, so to speak, to the lift, which then takes them to their parking spaces. That's our catwalk."

Guided rides and overnight stay in hotel
Even those who do not own a classic car, but share the fascination for these gems, should get their money's worth with the car hall. Therefore, guided tours with classic cars and youngtimers are offered. In addition, 20 hotel rooms are available.
