The electric scooter received this trophy for its innovative design and future-oriented solution for sustainable urban mobility. It is the first award for the high-end electric scooter, which was launched at the same time as the new Peugeot 3008 SUV (Car of the Year 2017). The jury recognized the innovative design and exceptional driving experience of this new type of e-scooter with support motor.
Cooperation
Micro and Peugeot created the e-Kick as a sustainable mobility solution for urban traffic. The user can leave the car behind for the last few kilometers of the journey and glide along electrically. The 8.5 kg e-Kick is simply loaded into the trunk of a car. The scooter reaches a maximum speed of 25 km/h and has a range of up to 12 kilometers.
Mobile and flexible
The ingenious handlebar was developed by Peugeot Design Lab and enables "multimodal" travel. It can be folded within seconds, meaning that the e-Kick can be taken anywhere: folded up in the metro or train or even in the trunk of your own car. The e-Kick was launched as a high-end e-scooter in November 2016 and sells for EUR 1190. The scooter is available at selected Micro and Peugeot sales outlets and the respective online stores.
