The new product from the Q by Aston Martin personalization department is called the DBX Bowmore Edition and is intended to celebrate the partnership between the two traditional British luxury brands. There was already an earlier collaboration with the Black Bowmore DB5 1964.
The current run is guaranteed to remain low, as only just 18 examples of this particular DBX are to be made.
Marek Reichman, Executive Vice President and Chief Designer of Aston Martin: "Aston Martin and Bowmore share the same vision of timeless beauty and lasting legacy."
Special blue or also xenon gray
The DBX Bowmore enters in a special blue, but can also be supplied in xenon gray on request - this includes the copper-colored inserts, reminiscent of the color of single malt whisky. The wheels and brake calipers are smoke-colored and black.
Two color options are offered for the interior, each with Bowmore tweed inserts from textile company Islay Woollen Mill. Color accents are provided by the polished copper cup holders and the copper foil inserts in the center console.
Takeover of the car in Scotland
Those who are among the lucky buyers of a DBX Bowmore will be invited to Scotland to collect their new vehicle. He travels with the SUV, whose 4-liter biturbo V8 delivers 700 Nm and 550 hp, from Edinburgh via Loch Lomond to the island of Islay, where Woollen Mill and the whiskey brewer Bowmore are at home. A 39-year-old single malt can then be bottled at the manufacturer itself.
Aston Martin is taking orders now, but the first deliveries are not expected until the fourth quarter of next year.
