Alfa Romeo: Full throttle through the jubilee year 🎥

At the Mille Miglia Storico last year, Alfa Romeo was successful.

June 24, 2020 marks another milestone in Alfa Romeo's history - on that day, the traditional Italian brand will celebrate its 110th birthday and look back on more than a century of technological innovations, racing successes and unique creations on four wheels.

On the occasion of the anniversary, numerous publications will show the lesser-known sides of Alfa Romeo in an unusual perspective outside the automobile sector. Curiosities and anecdotes illustrate how Alfa Romeo is linked to Italy's technical, artistic and social development and thus forms part of the national heritage.

Meaning of the symbols of the logo
The logo, designed by Centro Stile Alfa Romeo, combines the strengths of the brand, its ability to combine technology, driving pleasure and elegance.

The two ones in the logo graphically symbolize the transition from the past to the present. The zero features perhaps the most distinctive and well-known element of Alfa Romeo's traditional coat of arms - the biscione, the snake with a man in its mouth.

Brand clubs celebrate in the factory museum
One place is tailor-made for Alfa Romeo's official birthday celebration - the factory museum in the Milan suburb of Arese. On June 24, 2020, members of brand clubs and fans of Alfa Romeo will meet here to symbolically blow out 110 candles on the birthday cake together.

Around this date, there will also be the opportunity to experience the history of Alfa Romeo, on which the future is built, at a variety of events.

Mille Miglia and Festival of Speed
Alfa Romeo has always played a major role in important automobile events. One example is the Mille Miglia, until 1957 one of the most difficult endurance races in the world and today the most important classic car rally internationally. Alfa Romeo has won the race eleven times, more than any other manufacturer, and has also celebrated several victories in the Mille Miglia Storico, including in 2019.

At the 2020 Mille Miglia, which runs from May 13 to 16 from Brescia to Rome and back, Alfa Romeo will be rolling up to the starting line with a few surprises. The same applies to the Festival of Speed in Goodwood in southern England (June 9 to 12, 2020). At the spectacular automotive garden party at Goodwood House estate, the sporting highlight of which is a hillclimb race, Alfa Romeo will be celebrated as guest of honor.
