The exhibition area of the Alfa Romeo museum occupies about 6000 square meters.
Visitors can also take their own vehicle for a spin around the museum's own racetrack or take part in conferences and demonstrations. Another highlight is the Alfa Romeo Giulia GTA, a special anniversary model.
A special date has been chosen for the reopening: June 24, 2020. It is the day on which the brand celebrates its 110th birthday. For this occasion, the house will be open daily from 10 am to 6 pm. Subsequently, until further notice, visitors are only allowed on Saturdays and Sundays.
Treasury with over 150 vehicles
For the first time, fans of Alfa Romeo have the opportunity to visit areas that are normally closed to the public. On two floors of the former administrative center in Arese are kept the parts of the collection that are not on display in the museum.
This treasure trove includes another 150 vehicles, dozens of automobile, aircraft and ship engines, hundreds of models, trophies, artwork and accessories, and even a racing motorboat.
Themed temporary exhibitions
The exhibits stored here, which are not part of the museum's permanent exhibition, represent a reserve. The museum uses them for temporary exhibitions and events.
On the weekend of June 26-28, visitors will also have the chance to drive in their own Alfa Romeo on the museum's test track. To avoid large crowds, registration is mandatory here as well (info@museoalfaromeo.com).
Lectures on little known chapters
In addition, the museum offers insights into lesser-known chapters of Alfa Romeo's history with two lectures.
The first event (Saturday, June 27, 3 p.m.), will focus on the Spider Monoposto concept car, the extreme version of the 916 series roadster.
Live from the museum in Arese you can celebrate the 110th anniversary of Alfa Romeo. The web streaming will start on June 24, 2020 at 15:30 CET
The second lecture (Sunday, June 28, 3 p.m.) will focus on the four-wheel drive of the Alfa Romeo 164 Q4. Both events are included in the admission price, but a seat reservation is required (info@museoalfaromeo.com).
Live broadcast of the Formula 1 race
Online booking for museum admission is not required. Participation in special activities must be reserved. In addition to the lectures, they include, among other things, the live broadcast of the Formula 1 race for the Austrian Grand Prix on July 5, 2020.
All information on the calendar of events surrounding the 110th anniversary of Alfa Romeo can be found on the Internet.
