ACS: Thomas Hurter new central president

The Automobile Club of Switzerland has a new Central President: 18 out of 19 sections (114 out of 118 votes) elected Thomas Hurter, SVP National Councillor from Schaffhausen, as Mathias Ammann's successor. Thomas Hurter: "After the turbulence of recent months, I want to lead the ACS back into calm waters once and for all. I will ensure that the management of the ACS and the decision-making process are broadly supported."

The ACS has appointed a successor to the retiring Central President Mathias Ammann. Thomas Hurter has been an active member of ACS Schaffhausen for many years. He knows the club inside out and is a member of the National Council's key transport committee. Thomas Hurter has already made an excellent name for himself with several proposals relating to motorized private transport. He has also already proven himself to be a prudent president of a national association.
