On March 31, 1949, Italian-Austrian engineer Carlo Abarth founded Abarth, creating a brand that became a legend with fast cars, tuning kits and racing success.
The history of Abarth and the logo with the scorpion are closely linked to the sporting triumphs that began early. An updated version of the brand logo was launched in 1969.
Logo underlines the Italian roots
After the takeover of Abarth by Fiat in 1971, the green-white-red Tricolore appeared on the logo as a background. This underscored the brand's Italian roots. Today's logo was completely redesigned in 2007. Now the pincers of the scorpion rest on the diagonal of the shield.
To mark the 70th anniversary in 2019, an anniversary version of the logo was introduced with a finish flag. A special emblem was designed for the special edition 695 70° Anniversario limited to 1949 units.
Base 595, Turismo, Competizione and Esseesse
For its 72nd birthday, Abarth has now launched the new 2021 range with the current 595, Turismo, Competizione and Esseesse models. Four versions, all linked by the typical character of the brand.
They offer driving fun, thrilling performance and an exhaust sound that makes fans' hearts beat faster. New colors and new details, such as the exclusive leather seats in racing helmet brown, are now in the program.
Ideas from fans come on social profiles
Through the brand's social channels, on the occasion of the birthday, fans were invited to interpret Abarth's logo with their drawings, paintings and artworks, bringing out the essence of the brand with their creative ideas. Selected projects will play a central role in Abarth's social profiles.
