Ride along - the Enyaq iV makes a very good impression in all areas and shows its character.

The new electric flagship from Mlada Boleslav is recognizable as a Å koda at first glance. Although the radiator grille is closed and more upright than in other models, it is very similar in form - as is the hood.

Balanced proportioned
The robust character of the Enyaq iV is emphasized by alloy wheels with diameters ranging from 18 to 21 inches. With its length of 4.65 meters, wheelbase of 2.77 meters and short overhangs, the newcomer based on the VW Group's Modular Electrification Toolkit (MEB) has balanced proportions and offers space for five people and 585 liters of luggage.

Å koda is also breaking new ground in the design of the interior. There, new Design Selections replace classic equipment lines that are oriented toward modern living environments in which materials and colors are perfectly coordinated.

Convincing ease of use
And as the first test drive showed, it's not just the look of the interior that's impressive, but also the ease of use. A small display in the driver's direct field of vision provides the most important driving data.

All functions and information can be provided on the centrally positioned 13-inch touchscreen at the touch of a button, with gestures and via voice control.

Good driving performance
On the road, the Enyaq is a comfortable vehicle with a superior engine. For the time being, the two model variants are available with rear-wheel drive and 58- or 77-kWh battery packs. The available power outputs are 132 or 150 kW (180 or 204 hp).

Thus, the iV 80 version used on the first drive proves to be quite lively despite an unladen weight of around 2200 kilograms. The torque of 310 Nm enables rapid acceleration and intermediate acceleration.

530 kilometers with one charge
Recuperation takes place in several stages that can be selected with the steering wheel paddles. The top speed of 100 km/h is reached in 8.5 seconds, and the manufacturer has set a limit for acceleration at 160 km/h. The acceleration is limited by the speed of the car.

The Enyaq iV 80 covers a good 530 WLTP kilometers on one battery charge, charging with alternating current and 11 kW takes 7.5 hours, with direct current and 125 kW only 38 minutes and 7 minutes respectively for another 100 kilometers.

With all the comfort and infotainmet that the Skoda Enyag iV has to offer, time can already fly by.

From Whitsun at the Swiss dealer
The new electric SUV will be launched in Switzerland on May 21. The Enyaq iV 80 will be available from the end of May at prices starting at 47,590 Swiss francs, while the iV 60 is available from 42,590 Swiss francs.
