Lamborghini: All-rounder from Sant'Agata 🎥

KRAFTPROTZ The new Urus model variants Performante and S are intended to take Lamborghini's most successful model series to date into the future. They have what it takes, as first drives with the Performante proved.

Lamborghini's Urus S and Urus Performante model pair compete with a revised exterior design and performance-enhanced 4-liter V8 biturbo engine (850 Nm, 666 hp). The body modifications to the Urus S emphasize the character of the sophisticated lifestyle SUV.

The Performante stands out externally with the design lines that are also typical of its sports car brothers. Other eye-catching features include the new hood and bumper design and the extensive use of composite materials. Even the roof can be made of carbon if desired.

Lamborghini Urus
On the racetrack, the Urus Performante proves that it is more sports car than SUV.

Top speed is 306 km/h
Compared with the S version with the same engine, the Performante has small advantages in terms of top speed and sprinting. From standstill, it sprints to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds, and its top speed is 306 km/h. The S does the job in 3.5 seconds and 305 km/h respectively. The S does these jobs in 3.5 seconds and at 305 km/h, respectively. Unlike the S, however, the Performante is equipped with steel spring suspension. This is not a step backward, of course, but a change specifically aimed at even sportier driving dynamics.

The cockpit is finished as standard in Alcantara in the Nero Cosmus color. The new hexagonal seat seam design is typical. Special color and trim options include continuation of the Performante finish on the doors, headliner, seatbacks and rear panel. Other interior personalization options include matte carbon detailing, red door handles and an individualized kick panel.

Deceleration with the carbon brakes
When first driven on the Vallelunga racetrack, the Performante provided impressive proof of its sports car credentials. In the new version, the body is now 20 millimeters lower - and so is the vehicle's center of gravity. The track width at the front has been increased by 16 millimeters, and the kerb weight has been reduced by 47 kilograms.

The acceleration of the 2150-kilogram vehicle is exhilarating, the deceleration with the carbon brakes impressive. With the retuned steering and the additional rear-axle steering as well as the torque vectoring sport differential, curves are mastered with precision.

The Urus' off-road capability is particularly impressive. In Rally mode, it negotiates gravel curves with the desired oversteering characteristics. Slight lateral movement is well controllable. Of course, all this comes at a price. The Performante is available from 267,550 Swiss francs, as a 4- or 5-seater and in more than 400 colors.
