The new Dacia Spring is revolutionizing the market for affordable electric vehicles. With a fresh design, improved motorization and state-of-the-art technology, it offers a convincing mix of efficiency, sustainability and suitability for everyday use.

Since its market launch in 2021, Dacia's first all-electric model has won over numerous customers and established itself as the third best-selling electric car in Europe. With over 150,000 units sold worldwide and 1,500 in Switzerland, the Dacia Spring is a guarantee of success for emission-free mobility. The new generation brings improvements in design, motorization and technological features without losing its basic strengths.

Design

The new Dacia Spring has a robust and modern design, characterized by clean lines and a striking silhouette. The new Dacia identity is reflected in the characteristic black stripes and the iconic Y-shaped light signature. The front and rear are adorned with contemporary decals that give the Extreme version vehicles a special look. The 15-inch wheels, which are standard on the 65 hp versions, emphasize the powerful impression of the vehicle.

Interior

Dacia has also made significant improvements to the interior of the new Spring. The dashboard has been redesigned and now offers a digital instrument cluster with a 7-inch display in all versions. In the Extreme version, there is also a large 10-inch multimedia display in the center. The materials and colors have been revised to ensure a higher quality. One highlight is the innovative YouClip accessory system, which offers various practical mounting options.

Technology and connectivity

The new Dacia Spring is equipped with modern connectivity and multimedia functions. The Media Control System, which comes as standard in the Essential and Expression trim levels, allows easy control of media and phone calls from the steering wheel. The Extreme version features the Media Nav Live system with a 10-inch touchscreen that supports wireless connectivity to Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™.

Driving performance and engines

The new Spring offers two engine options: a 45 hp engine for the Essential and Expression versions and a more powerful 65 hp engine for the Expression and Extreme versions. Thanks to the low weight of max. 984 kilograms, there is always enough power available, so the Spring can sprint from 0-50 km/h in 5.8 seconds. With a range of up to 225 km and efficient energy consumption, the Dacia Spring remains the most affordable all-electric car on the market. The new B-mode for a stronger regenerative braking strategy further optimizes the range.

Charging infrastructure

Charging the new Dacia Spring is convenient and easy. A 7 kW AC charger comes as standard, which fully charges the battery in less than 11 hours from a domestic socket or in just 4 hours from a 7 kW wallbox. A 30 kW DC charger is available as an option, which enables fast charging from 20% to 80% in just 45 minutes.

Security

The safety features of the new Spring have also been expanded. The new ADAS systems include an active emergency braking assistant, traffic sign recognition with speed warning and a lane departure warning system. These functions help to increase safety in everyday use.

Market launch and success in Switzerland

The Dacia Spring will be available from Dacia dealers in Switzerland from October 2024. It is already proving to be a great success: 158 units had been sold by May 2024 and sales figures are rising steadily. The Spring is number one in the A-segment of electric vehicles in the retail market and number two in the overall market. These figures speak for the great interest and potential of the Dacia Spring on the Swiss market.

The new Dacia Spring remains true to its philosophy of offering affordable and efficient electric mobility. With its new design, improved interior, modern technology and enhanced safety features, it sets new standards in the affordable electric vehicle segment. The Dacia Spring therefore remains an ideal choice for anyone looking for a cost-effective, sustainable and practical solution for their daily mobility. Prices start at 15,000 for the Essential version, Expression from 15,900 and 16,800 respectively and 17,700 for the Extreme version. If all options are selected, the price rises to CHF 19,250. The cantons of Schaffhausen, Ticino and Thurgau award an environmental bonus of CHF 2,000 for switching to an electric car. In Ticino, dealers participating in the incentive program can offer a further CHF 2,000 bonus, for example for the Essential variant from CHF 11,000.
