The British sports car manufacturer has pre-ordered 25 copies of the legendary vehicle from "Goldfinger" for well-heeled collectors and charities. ZF is once again on board.

The experts from Friedrichshafen reproduced the then five-speed sports transmission with the type designation S5-325.

New manufacturing technologies and 3D printing
New manufacturing technologies were used for all 280 individual parts of the transmission body. For example, the shift tower was manufactured using 3D printing at the ZF plant in Pilsen. As a special film gadget, the shift lever was modified by a release button for the ejector seat.

Forward gears were sparse synchronized
The S5-325 transmission was very popular with sports drivers and was installed in countless supercars of the time. Since all five forward gears were spur-synchronized, even inexperienced drivers could shift without double-clutching at the

upshifts quickly, safely and silently. Interlocks meant that only one gear could be engaged at a time.

ZF Tradition offers the most important wear parts as well as overhauls and repairs for several historical transmissions. Depending on requirements, parts can also be remanufactured on request.
