With the largest Seat 600 meeting in automotive history, the Spanish manufacturer has set a new Guiness world record. A total of 787 vehicles took part in the ceremony of the 60th anniversary of the Seat 600 at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
Record attempt successful
This was the largest gathering in the long history of this legendary model, which has been nicknamed "Pelotilla" since its market launch in 1957. The owners of the classic cars responded enthusiastically to the call for the record attempt: In just two months, all the places were taken.
Huge spectacle
Seeing so many Seat 600s gathered in such a confined space was an impressive spectacle that the assembled onlookers were unlikely to forget in a hurry. Thanks to the loving care of their owners, the cars were all in running order. Mikel Palomera, CEO of Seat Spain, attended the meeting with his own vehicle. The successful world record attempt marked a worthy finale to the celebrations of the 60th anniversary of the car that decisively advanced motorization in Spain.
