The Felicia convertible in the front row was the export hit of the Eastern Bloc country and also appears in large numbers at the club meeting in the Piazza Rezzonico in Lugano.

The proud owner of the MTX Skoda Buggy from 1971 unfortunately had to keep the self-made roof closed most of the time. Unfortunately, Ticino did not show its sunny side at meetings.

The younger generation only knows the VW-directed models, the older ones perhaps still the rear-engine types built for decades. The convoy therefore made many visitors ponder as two Skoda Tudors drove along Lake Lugano. One as a convertible built only 70 times and another as a rare four-door. In tow followed the once very common Octavia sedans and their elegant convertible offshoot Felicia. A rear-engined model of the Type 110 was also in attendance, as was the eye-catcher par excellence, an extremely rare MTX Skoda Buggy from 1971 based on the MB 1000 and designed by Vaclav Kral.

Help with repairs or the procurement of spare parts
The Skoda-Oldtimer IG Deutschland unites about 180 members from Germany, but also from neighboring countries, including some Swiss. They support each other in the preservation of these cars, which have become rare, and help with repairs or the procurement of spare parts. The IG keeps a vehicle register, publishes the club magazine "Skoda-Kurier" four times a year and maintains contact with the museum in Mlada Boleslav.
