Renault: Record price for enthusiast Clio
STAR OF THE AUCTION A special Renault Clio V6 Phase 2 has achieved the remarkable world record price of 90,000 pounds at an auction held by the online market platform Collecting Cars. This makes it a hot hatch in every respect.

Renault's unique Power Compact, a Clio V6 of the second stage of development, achieved the record price of 90,000 English pounds (around 110,000 Swiss francs) also due to its low mileage and its paint finish in bright yellow with metallic pearl effect. And only 18 examples worldwide were equipped with the leather interior shown in the auction car.
3-liter naturally aspirated V6 engine delivers 255 hp
Literally at the center, of course, is the 3-liter naturally aspirated V6 engine installed in front of the rear axle and delivering 255 hp. In 2005, with just 27,000 kilometers on the clock, the vehicle was used as a safety car in the Clio Cup races.
In the same year, the V6 Renault was driven around the short circuit at the Goodwood Festival of Speed by Formula 1 driver Patrick Tambay. The car sprinted to 100 km/h in 5.8 seconds, and a maximum speed of 245 km/h was quoted.
