The first rally exclusively for drivers under 35 will take place on the weekend of May 13 and 14, 2017. Volkswagen supports the first "RAID Young Raiders Challenge" as presenting partner. The Challenge offers participants a unique experience: to exchange ideas with rally-interested drivers, to rediscover spring and Switzerland by car and to actively participate in the exciting rally life.
Inspire young talent
The aim of this event is to inspire young drivers for such classic rallies and for the automobile in general. To this end, the entry fee has been set low: the 350 francs per person includes organization, hotel, food, roadside assistance, regulations, rally sign and side numbers. And for the first time at a RAID event, youngtimers born in 1997 or earlier are also welcome. The rally will start at the AMAG Autowelt Zürich in Dübendorf ZH. After the first day of the rally, the drivers will drive into Fribourg. Dinner will be followed by a networking event in a relaxed atmosphere. The next day, exciting routes, tests and an excursion to a TCS safety center await the participants. Here, the participants have to prove their flair for safe driving. After further rally kilometers and tests, the rally ends with the award ceremony in Bern. The winner of the first "RAID Young Raiders Challenge" receives the new Golf for free use for one year.
