Before the Spanish cult singer Julio Iglesias traveled in private jets, he used to go from city to city in his own car to give concerts in his home country. Julio Iglesias acquired the vehicle at the age of [...].
Julio Iglesias purchased the vehicle at the age of 29 for around 147,700 pesetas, a small fortune at the time. Today, the estimated value of the online auction house is around 32,500 euros. Even though the SEAT 1430 Especial 1600 was only owned by Julio Iglesias for a few years - in 1976 he passed it on to his manager - he repeatedly raved about "his" SEAT in interviews from those years. This was also the case in an article in the Spanish daily newspaper ABC on March 11, 1972, where he himself presented the car in the section "The car of...". According to Iglesias, the SEAT was "a fast and very comfortable car that also has low fuel consumption.
The SEAT 1430 Especial 1600 in blue finally passed two years ago to the current owner, who is now auctioning it on Catawiki. Mark Borgman, manager at the online auction house, on this particular auction item: "The Occasion is still in perfect condition today. The engine is fully functional and the car has only driven 74,000 kilometers. It is a real gem for lovers of popular Spanish classics, not least because of its famous previous owner Julio Iglesias."
Who would like to cruise along the streets to Iglesias music hits like "Gwendolyne" or "La vida sigue igual" in his well-preserved SEAT, has the opportunity to do so until Monday, January 30, 2017, at the car here to bid with.
