In July 1894, the world's first automobile race took place from Paris to Rouen. This was the initial spark for the successful motorsport history of Mercedes-Benz. For 125 years now, the engines and vehicles of the brand with the three-pointed star and its predecessor brands have been responsible for countless successes and title wins all over the world....

In the anniversary year 2019, another strong motorsport season is on the horizon. Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas in the F1 W09 EQ Power+ have already ensured three one-two finishes in the 2019 Formula 1 World Championship, in reverse order at the season opener in Australia. Two all-electric Silver Arrows will also be competing in Formula E from the 2019/2020 season.
The boss gets to do it himself
With a special event in Silverstone, the Germans looked back on 125 years of Mercedes motorsport. As the film shows, Mercedes GP team boss Toto Wolff (who used to drive touring car races himself) and his two drivers had the opportunity to sit behind the wheel of legendary cars from the long history of motorsport, along with other well-known racing drivers.
