Maserati: Also with four doors for 60 years 🎥

DESIGN AND PERFORMANCE With six generations, the Maserati Quattroporte wrote automotive history. From stylistic advances to technical innovations, this model embodies exclusive car building.

October 30, 1963 marked the start of the then important Turin Motor Show, and it was during this event that the first Quattroporte was unveiled on the Maserati stand. The 60th anniversary is now set to commemorate some of Maserati's most important milestones. Like many iconic models, the Quattroporte won great acclaim from the moment of its debut and inspired subsequent generations. The car transcended boundaries and remained true to the pursuit of excellence in design and performance. More than 75,000 units were produced over the 60 years.

Sedan with racing genes

The first-generation Quattroporte was a pioneer, featuring a distinctive-sounding racing V8 engine combined with an elegant exterior design and a refined interior. The car reached a top speed of 230 km/h.

The Quattroporte is also representative of the passion and talent of all those who have been involved in the project over the years. Frua created the original shape, followed by other masters, including Bertone, Giugiaro, Gandini and Pininfarina - up to Maserati Centro Stile as the designer of the current generation. Thus, the Quattroporte remains the jewel in the intense history of the Modena-based company.

Special demand for exclusivity

While the second-generation Quattroporte was a less memorable design, the Quattroporte III, when the company was led by De Tomaso, represented a resounding success. A new challenge followed, which was mastered with aplomb in the 1990s with the fourth generation.

With the multiple award-winning Quattroporte V of 2003, the brand continued to evolve but remained true to the successful formula before the current, sixth generation represents the most modern expression of the concept. Even after all the redesigns, advances in technology, changes in corporate structure and the many models produced, this sedan has retained its special claim to exclusivity.
