KW automotive: Updated driving dynamics
KLASSIK-FAHRWERKE suspension applications from KW Klassik are far more than just wear parts for classic cars and modern classics. They are able to combine high-quality vehicle components with cutting-edge damper technology.
New suspensions give classic vehicles the ride comfort and driving dynamics of current models without losing their original character. Even the Honda NSX from the 1990s, which was considered a very innovative sports car, benefits from the new generation of KW classic suspensions with solid piston dampers. Due to numerous customer requests, the suspension manufacturer now also offers the V5 coilover suspension for the Japanese mid-engine sports car.
For handling and comfort
The suspension with its solid piston dampers gives the NSX more direct handling and increased tire grip. The more sensitive damping also optimizes ride comfort. In addition to the option of continuously lowering the Honda NSX by up to 55 millimetres, the solid piston dampers can be individually fine-tuned in the four driving dynamics parameters of high-speed and low-speed compression as well as high-speed and low-speed rebound. The recommended retail price is 6499 euros.
Proven coilover suspension
Following the successful market launch of the KW V5 coilover suspension for current sports cars and super sports cars, the suspension will also be introduced for selected older vehicle models. "In 2023, we introduced the V5 for the timeless Porsche Carrera GT," says KW classic car expert Sascha Daucher. "Due to the demand from Japan and the USA for a KW V5 coilover suspension for the first and second generation of the Acura NSX and the Honda NSX respectively, we now offer it including expert reports for both model generations."
