Due to the pandemic situation, the decision was made at the end of March not to hold the event in the first half of the year. It was originally planned for the beginning of May. A suitable alternative date for the sporting event has now been fixed for the last weekend in August after consultation with participating race series.
At the expense of drag racing fans
This place in the calendar became free due to the cancellation of the drag racing event NitrOlympX 2021, which was unavoidable due to the high cost structure and the lack of security in terms of ticket revenue. The case is different for the Bosch Hockenheim Historic, where only a few preparatory measures are necessary for the motorsport part.
With or without spectators
Hockenheim-Ring GmbH is hoping that spectators will be admitted to the event, but the dynamic regulatory situation does not yet allow any binding statement to be made about this. Therefore, the planning focus is initially on the smooth execution of the race runs on the GP circuit.
Info for ticket holders
In the event of an official admission of spectators, tickets already purchased for this event will remain valid. Upon request, buyers can also have the ticket value refunded.
