The highlights from the Goodwood Revival 2019 illustrate what there will not be in this way in 2020. However, Speedweek should compensate all fans via livestream.

The Goodwood Festival of Speed in July and the Revival Meeting in September are among the best that historic motorsport has to offer. Unfortunately, both events, which attract participants and spectators from all over the world in masses, are cancelled this year for well-known reasons.

At home instead of on site
The British are creating a replacement event in a pinch. Goodwood Speedweek, or more precisely the weekend from October 16 to 18, combines the best elements of the festival and the revival. The races are held at the Goodwood Motor Circuit - but unfortunately without the typical impressive spectator backdrop.

However, Goodwood will broadcast everything live on the Internet and social media, as well as via a number of TV partner stations. As it can already be very cold, wet and windy in England in October, the scenes should also delight viewers at home in their warm rooms.

Gymkhana and Shootout
The organizers promise a unique spectacle. For example, a Goodwood Gymkhana for rally cars, which leads over passages on the circuit grounds where spectators normally cavort.

Also, as always, well-known racing drivers are to be seen at the wheel of extraordinary racing cars. A winner will also be crowned in a one-lap shootout. Some of the fastest racing cars in history will take part.

So it's worth keeping the third weekend in October free for a leisurely motorsport TV event at home.
