The Bugatti brand looks back on 110 years of history and knows its responsibility to preserve historic and contemporary iconic vehicles for the enjoyment of future generations. At the 2020 Rétromobile Show in Paris, Bugatti unveiled its new La Maison Pur Sang program to ensure the authenticity of models.
Definition of a real whole blood
The Pur Sang program is conducted exclusively at the company's headquarters in Molsheim. The term Pur Sang means thoroughbred or purebred.
La Maison Pur Sang's first project focused on an exceptional hyper sports car from recent history: the first prototype of the Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport. At its world premiere in Pebble Beach, California, in 2008, this car demonstrated a whole new dimension in luxury high performance with an open top.
Checking the identification number
In 2020, Bugatti bought back the Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport 2.1 and brought it back to Molsheim. The authenticity of the vehicle was not only confirmed by checking the vehicle identification number, but it was also verified that the identification numbers applied to the key components were correct.

Confirmation of the authenticity of the car
