Classic Car Auction in Gstaad: Car rarities for the finale
When it comes to original ideas, the team at Oldtimer Galerie Toffen is never at a loss. For example, the Classic Car Auction on December 29, 2017 in Gstaad caused amazement in the industry.
Organizer Reinhard Schmidlin: "In addition to the auctions in Toffen, an auction has been held at the Dolder in Zurich every June since 2012. In addition, for the finale of the year, we have an auction with collectors' vehicles in Gstaad starting at 5 p.m. in the festival tent at Sportzentrumstrasse 5 in the program. The offer will be in the exclusive range, the space for bidders is limited."
Rare unique pieces Many of the vehicles coming under the hammer are already known, including unique pieces such as the Jaguar XK 120 convertible with Autenrieth body from 1951, the Lancia Aurelia B52 coupé with Vignale body from 1952, the Jaguar XK 150 Tow Car, a sports coupé converted into a station wagon, or the De Tomaso Pantera Group 5 from 1975 with Swiss history.
Special rarities Also on offer will be classics such as the Jaguar E-Type, Aston Martin DB4, Ferrari 308 GTB Vetroresina, Alfa Romeo Montreal, Lancia Aurelia B24S Spider, Maserati 3500 GT or Porsche 911 Turbo. In addition, there will be rarities such as a Volvo 262 C from 1982, which was once driven by David Bowie.
