Auction: Rare M models under the hammer
WHERE TO MEET At the auction held as part of the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este, RM Sotheby's is calling for a selection of attractive M models from five generations of the BMW sports division, among others.
The first in the M-Power collection is a 1990 M3 Sport Evolution from the E30 series in brilliant red with electronically controlled dampers. It is expected to fetch between 180,000 and 220,000 euros. 120,000 to 160,000 euros is expected from the metallic gray 2003 M3 CSL from the E46 series.
Another highlight is the 2010 M3 GTS. This version with a 4.4-liter V8, painted in orange (no photo) at the auction and only produced 150 times at the factory, is likely to be worth between 150,000 and 200,000 euros.
Estimates up to 230 000 euros
The two younger representatives of the M-Power faction are a 2016 M4 GTS in Frozen Dark Gray and a 2022 M4 CSL launched last year to mark BMW M's 50th birthday. The auctioneer expects these models to sell for between 100,000 and 150,000 euros and between 170,000 and 230,000 euros, respectively.
In addition to the rare M models from Munich, the May 20 event will also feature sporty vehicles from Mercedes-AMG, Aston-Martin and Lexus, as well as Ferrari and Lamborghini.
