Two legendary Lamborghini models, a 1971 model year Miura SV and a 1977 Countach LP 400, both with adventurous histories, were extensively restored by experts for the RM Sotheby's auction. Both mechanical and aesthetic defects had to be repaired.
775,000 euros for Rod Stewart's LP 400
The Miura SV, of which just 150 examples were produced, fetched 2.4 million euros at the auction, the second-highest value ever achieved for this model.
Only 157 examples of the Countach LP 400, which belonged to rock singer Rod Stewart, rolled off the production line. This car was converted into a convertible in the meantime and then restored to its original condition. It reached a price of 775,000 euros at the auction.
Polo Storico produces parts for older models
The Lamborghini Polo Storico department has been in existence since 2015 and is responsible for the restoration and maintenance of classic cars from the Sant'Agata brand. The offer of this department also includes the production of spare parts for older models.
