Auction: Gstaad is the meeting place of the scene

45 automobiles, three motorcycles and a tractor will go under the hammer on the last Sunday of the year. The total value of the vehicles is around 7.3 million Swiss francs.

Even a Porsche tractor on offer
31 brands will be represented in Gstaad. Ferrari is represented with five, Porsche with four (and a tractor), BMW and Alfa Romeo with three cars each.

For most brands, however, there will only be one representative. These include Alvis, Audi, Jensen, Lagonda, Sbarro or Studebaker.

Vehicles from almost every year of manufacture
On average, the vehicles are almost 50 years old, but the age spectrum is broad. Three cars represent the 1930s, including a Lagonda 2 Litre Low Chassis Tourer from 1931.

The forties are omitted, but from then on every decade is present. Ten vehicles are only in their youngtimer age or even belong to the neoclassics.

Ferrari for 1.5 million francs
Certainly the most valuable car at the auction is a Ferrari 250 GT Lusso from 1964. For many Maranello fans, this coupe is one of the brand's most elegant creations ever. No wonder, the prices have risen from once a few hundred thousand francs to seven-figure sums today. Especially since only 350 of these cars, whose technology came close to that of the 250 GTO, were built.

One of these cars with a US history and an older restoration (chassis 5849) is now looking for a new owner. The estimated value has been set at 1.5 to 1.7 million.

Saturday, December 28: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., free admission.
Sunday, December 29: from 10 am access only with catalog or entrance fee. Catalogs can be purchased on site during the preview.

The auction of interesting automobilia will start at 4 pm, and the auction of vehicles at 5 pm.
