Much will be different in three weeks from what is shown in the teaser to the 16th Arosa ClassicCar. The main thing is to be able to drive for three days.
Cancel or go through with it? The decision of the Federal Council on Wednesday to extend the ban on events with more than 1000 people by one month presented the organizing committee of the 16th Arosa ClassicCar from September 3 to 6, 2020 with new challenges.
Strict protection concept
After evaluating all the facts and the necessary measures, the core OC came to the conclusion that they wanted to set an example in these difficult times. After consultation with the cantonal and municipal authorities, the event can be held with a maximum of 1000 people - although not as planned.
The wearing of masks is strictly compulsory on the event grounds. The paddock will only be accessible to a maximum of 1000 riders, accompanying persons, OC, sponsors, helpers and guests close to the event.
The traditional and popular village parade, which used to kick off the event on Thursday, will not take place this year.
Spectators only along the route
There will be no infrastructure for the public. Accordingly, there will be no grandstands, no additional snack stands outside, no live broadcast and no sound system.
Spectators are reminded that they are not allowed in the start and finish areas. However, following the race along the 7.2-kilometer race course from Langwies to Arosa is possible in compliance with the usual BAG hygiene rules. Logically, no entrance fee will be charged for this.

Guests are also welcome in Arosa during the Arosa ClassicCar. All measures will be made clearly visible.
