Yokohama incorporated many innovations into the new BluEarth winter tire with V-shaped grooves.

Yokohama has developed a new winter tire that promises even more grip for the winter season with numerous technical improvements. The harmonious tread design provides good driving characteristics in winter conditions.

Thus, the new BluEarth Winter V906 offers both reliable grip on snow and ice and optimum grip in wet conditions. The V-shaped grooves displace snow and water efficiently, and the uniform contact blocks increase grip.

Together with the enhanced edge effect of the 3-D sipes, the new winter tire achieves remarkable grip performance on wet and wintry roads.

Larger contact area and high silica content
The improved properties of the new tire are also made possible by the larger contact area and the high silica content in the rubber compound.

The ART mixing technology developed by Yokohama Rubber made the material even more flexible. Thanks to the optimized tire design, heat generation and rolling resistance could be reduced, resulting in lower fuel consumption.

The new BluEarth Winter V906 is available on the Swiss market in 43 dimensions.
